The Strawberry Bush (Euonymus americanus), also known as Hearts-a-Burstin’, is a delightful and versatile deciduous, native shrub that is an excellent choice for landscapes and gardeners. It features unique, eye-catching fruits that resemble bright red strawberries and burst open to reveal bright orange seeds in the fall, adding a pop of color and interest to the garden. These distinctive fruits are not only ornamental but also provide food for wildlife.

Furthermore, the Strawberry Bush is relatively low-maintenance, thriving in a range of soil types and tolerating both sun and shade. Its attractive green foliage turns a beautiful reddish-purple in the autumn, enhancing its aesthetic appeal.

new bush
Over the years I have ordered and planted many trees and shrubs from a lot of places. The packaging from Old House trees is the best I have seen. The plants I have put in from them seem to have done better than others from otherwhere. Keep up the good work.

Very Pleased!
I ordered these interesting woodland plants because there was one my mother had in our yard when I was growing up. I transferred it to my garden when I settled and had a home of my own, but not knowing anything about it, and there being no internet as we have today, it died. I recently looked for this plant in one of your catalogs I'd kept over the years and also found you are now online. I received my 2 plants expertly wrapped within the time span you stated. I waited a couple of days for the rains to stop, obtained some organic soil, and planted them in a wooded like area at the corner of my garden so it has some light and shade. They are gently trellised against wind, wild animals being mistaken for a strange weed by my garden crew . Today I went out to visit them and cheered them on to successful rooting and growing. I know they are slow growers, but what I what I really want now is for them to get established. Thank you so much for the plants , the excellent way in which they were packed and their quick arrival. I appreciate your service and look forward to purchasing from you again when I discover another native plant I want to plant in my garden.Becky

Best ever
My plants arrived in great condition and are doing fine. I've had problems with online nurseries before but they are the best.
